I was
recently lucky enough to be featured on the Restaurantware Blog in a brief
interview about my culinary philosophy and passion for food. I tend to opt toward letting my work speak
for itself but on occasion I still like to boast a little and am extra excited
as the interview helped reignite my desire to get back to cooking for the blog,
myself and those I love and care about the most. Check out my interview at:
I made a big
move from Kansas City back to Seattle last May and it has since been hard to
find time for my blog. I returned to the
PNW for family, friends and to work for great company as a travelling Chef /
Manager. I spend a good amount of time
driving, in airports, living in hotels and eating out. I also spent the last 8 months developing a
Sushi Program in which I visit various locations for rolled to order sushi
events, catering and DIY sushi classes.
Developing the sushi program and the constant travel don’t really leave
much time for cooking at home, much less taking the time to photograph and
create detailed recipes. Despite these
potential road blocks I gave myself one goal this spring and that is to get
back to the frequent, at least once a week posting.
Since the
travel isn’t going to end anytime soon, I decided to try a new feature on my
blog to make the frequent posting more accommodating of my busy lifestyle. I am going to try a restaurant review section
called “Green Girl’s Adventures in Eating” in which I give brief reviews of the
various places I eat in my travels or locally in Seattle. My goal may be ambitious but I am hoping for
at least 2 postings per week; one “Sunday Smoothie” and one recipe or new
review. Wish me luck and happy eating!!
Up
next…
So proud of you Jez!
